UPDATED : May 11, 2022 We are excited a new operator has been chosen for the Lodge !... The Forest service hopes to have information to release in the next couple weeks. Stay tuned, as soon as we know more we will post where you can go for their hours and information and then be closing our Facebook page. We had a wonderful time for the 3 years we did the little snack shack, but that location needs the lodge and we are glad to hear its close.

Where to start... Thank you.. thanks for the great visits and stories of your memories at The Mondeaux Picnic Area/Lodge/ and campgrounds. We are sorry to inform everyone that the Snack Shack will not be opening for business this year. Last Fall Renovations at the Mondeaux Dam Lodge and site began, during these the building had to be moved, and our electrical hook up was removed for renovations. This spring renovations may have allowed for a May opening, but then COVID struck and work has slowed or stalled at the site. What we know now, is that the Picnic grounds and campgrounds are closed, the boat landing near dam is open, Picnic Point Landing was open last we checked. ALL Bathrooms are closed and locked or boarded at this time, so don't plan a picnic for this weekend.. mother nature may not allow it anyway, but the Picnic Grounds are closed at this time. Last date we had was opening May 26th. Memorial Weekend was traditionally our largest weekend for sales, as campers and cabin owners rush back to start summer. Renovations to the Lodge prior to Covid where to be completed in August of 2020, we have no current information on what that timeline looks like currently. We aren't sure yet where we are going or what we are doing with our 12x24 building, we purchased the structure for 6500 and put about 4,000 dollars of improvements insulating walls and ceilings, wiring the structure, and finish work. The ceiling is a thin tongue and groove, the walls are "milkhouse board" the floor is a roll of vinyl flooring. It has 2 loft bed/area they are approximately 8x12. If you know of someone looking for a hunting shack tell them to make us an offer 715-560-8213
